Melissa started as a volunteer for the Half Moon Bay
Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau in 2000
after relocating to Half Moon Bay with her family from the
Santa Ynez Valley. Shortly after, in 2001, she became the
Receptionist at the Chamber. Since then she has climbed to
her position as the Executive Assistant where her
responsibilities include the
monthly newsletter, maintaining
the Chamber website, and the company accounting, among other
things.
Melissa completed the
Western Association of Chamber of
Commerce Executives (W.A.C.E.) Academy program, an
interactive 3-day (three year) training program on Chamber
management essentials designed for today’s Chamber
executives and staff professionals, in 2008. |
