AMBASSADOR COMMITTEE
Co-Chairs: Chrysann Rudig, Abundance - a

The Chamber Ambassadors help with events and function as an extension of the staff at events. The Ambassadors may also plan their own fundraiser to help with a specific product or purchase.
This committee is also responsible for planning all the
network@night events throughout the year. They decide on themes,
locations, and fun ideas to enhance our mixers to the best a
Chamber can offer.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

Mission: To study and analyze issues of interest to the Coastside and its business community, recommend to the Board of Directors advocacy positions on those issues that the committee deems appropriate, and communicate the Chamber's viewpoint clearly and strongly to our membership, elected officials, and the community at large. On issues which the Chamber does not align itself with a particular point of view, the GAC will seek to present fair representation of both sides of the issue to the membership, elected officials and community at large.
Meets: Second Thursday of the month, 4:00pm at the Chamber Office

DOWNTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (DBA)

All retail chamber and non-chamber members unite to discuss special events and problems facing their businesses.
This is a separate association that the Chamber assists, so
there is a dues fee of $100/retailer and $50/associate for
the year.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The Mission of the Half Moon Bay
Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau
Education Committee is to enhance the quality of
education that students receive at Coastside schools and
to foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships
between educational and business communities.
In addition to awarding five college scholarships annually, this committee works with businesses in helping with the Half Moon Bay High School Wish List, Back to Basics, Career Day, the Rotary's "My Own Business", and BizWorld (a three day workshop that sets fifth grade classes up in a mock business).

PRIDE COMMITTEE
PAINT, PLANT, REPAIR, IMPROVE, DESIGN AND ENCOURAGE
Mission: To encourage and facilitate
Coastside businesses to take pride in the appearance of
their store fronts, making a good impression with local
residents and visitors. And, to recognize those businesses
that set an exemplary standard.
Standards of PRIDE:
- Fresh paint
- Manicured landscaping
- Building facade in good repair
- Encourage improvements and upgrades appropriate to the
structure
- Maintain and routinely clean business entrance
- Harmonious design encouraged
