1. Sediment Filtration: We use a 5-micron filter that removes the undissolved particles that are in the water like silt, sand and rusted particles. This first step cleans the water.
2. Carbon Adsorption: Carbon removes organic chemicals like chlorine, trihalomethanes, (known carcinogenics), pesticides and herbicides plus many other chemicals.
3. Conditioning: Through a process called Ion Exchange, inorganic calcium, magnesium and iron are removed. These contaminants are what ruin your hot water heaters, bath and kitchen fixtures, and clog your plumbing. These contaminants are also hard on your hair and skin.
4. Reverse Osmosis: In this process dissolved particles are removed from the water. No other filter can do this, and our RO membrane does this with particles that are tens of thousands times smaller than a human hair (.002 microns). Most all of the contaminants have now been removed from the water.
5. Polishing: This important step is done to remove unwanted tastes and odors, to polish the water giving it a clean sweet taste. This is done by our 4 cubic foot carbon tank.
6. More Polishing: After storage our water is pumped to our 20” Big Blue Carbon Filter and gets another polishing.
7. Ultra Violet Light: Before our water reaches your bottle it travels through an Ultra Violet Light. This step assures that our water will be free of bacteria. Bacteria cannot survive this process because UV light destroys their DNA. Even spores as small as the dreaded anthrax bacteria are killed.
